dr. Yogik Onky Silvana Wijaya, Ph.D. bergabung di Departemen Biokimia sejak tahun 2022. Beliau memperoleh gelar Dokter Umum dari Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) pada tahun 2015. Gelar Doktor diraih oleh dr. Yogik dari Kobe University, Jepang pada tahun 2021 setelah meneliti fenotip pasien Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) dengan mutasi intragenik gen SMN1. Mata kuliah yang diampu termasuk pengenalan gene therapy, aplikasi gene therapy untuk modulasi splicing, antisense oligonucleotide, PCR-RFLP dan deteksi single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). Beliau juga aktif dalam pembuatan video ajar yang dilindungi hak kekayaan intelektual. Ketertarikannya pada bidang genetik dan biomolekuler telah menghasilkan banyak karya tulis ilmiah yang dipublikasikan pada jurnal nasional dan internasional bereputasi. Fokus penelitian beliau saat ini meliputi metode diagnosis dan skrining molekuler serta penyakit SMA. Selain aktif melakukan penelitian, beliau juga aktif pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di dalam dan di luar lingkungan UGM.
